*MARCHVEGAS DISCLAIMER – Right now you could be in Las Vegas, in Miami, Toronto, the Philippines, at home or the Irish bar around the corner. Maybe you skipped work, skipped school, played hooky, lied about a meeting or just simply disappeared from the job altogether. Now if you can hold on and do this for Thursday March 15th and Friday March 16th of March Madness and through the weekend (easy), then CONGRATULATIONS, MARCHVEGAS – The new 4-day holiday is working for you. However, if you didn’t wisp the kids out of school or sneak your wife or lover or special someone away for a special getaway from their chores and or monotony of this life, if you are at work, if you are at the job, then we have failed; bitterly. Just promise us that you won’t miss MARCHVEGAS next year.

Selection Sunday – March 11th
Let the games begin, as Selection Sunday and the eve of March Madness springs eternal while everyone has an equal shot of winning it all along with the rest of us betting that we have the winning bracket along the way. Our advice for a fun filled three weeks is to just get the Final Four correct. Do that and most likely you’ll separate yourself from your immediate field and secure a real shot at winning your pool. After all, isn’t that what March Madness is really about, winning? Therefore, whereas our basis for a Final Four selection seemed impossible just two weeks ago, we’ve dug deep and now offering our take on the winning solution for the Final Four:
The MARCHVEGAS Final Four:
Kansas
Kentucky
Michigan St.
Syracuse
Our advice is to take those four teams to the bank but if not, again, good luck to all those engaged in the coming week’s test of bracketology domination.
Correction:
p.s. Lastly and a little bit of housekeeping, my bad on not seeing our Sleepers going up against each other, (Southern Miss. vs Kansas St.) however we advise that Kansas St. should prevail. Also, Cleveland St. missed the tourney altogether so we kinda caught a black eye there as well but promise to try harder next time.
10 days & 10 nights
March 15th – March 5th = 10 days and 10 nights till, “The new 4-day holiday“. All we really need now is just a quick show of hands stating that you’re in?

Elite 8 “Jordan Adjusted”
This is where we hope to add value for this year’s NCAA March Madness tournament and Bracketology Worksheet. We can’t tell you who to choose in your Final Four, the Championship Game or which team might advance and win it all. Reason being, everybody is just beating everybody.
However, if we can lead you to the freshest part of the lake to drink, if we can eliminate 88% of the field so that you can focus on nailing down the teams coming down the stretch, then we’ve done our job. In other words, you still have to pull the trigger come bracketology time beginning Sunday March 11th but MARCHVEGAS may be able to narrow down things (to roughly the 13th percentile) for you and in our book, that’s not too bad.
Anyway, here’s the Elite 8 “Jordan Adjusted” Ranking along with the current NCAA Men’s College Basketball polls as a reference. We also threw in the MARCHVEGAS Tournament Sleepers to help with the early games, just in case.
Elite 8 “Jordan Adjusted” Ranking (no order)
Syracuse, Missouri, Kentucky, Marquette, Michigan State, Duke, Kansas, Wisconsin
MARCHVEGAS Tournament Sleepers
Murray St., SDSU, Cleveland St., Southern Miss, Wichita St., Florida St., Kansas St., UNLV
AP Top 8 – 2/23/12
Kentucky, Syracuse, Missouri, Kansas, Duke, Michigan State, North Carolina, Ohio State.
ESPN/USA Today’s Coaches Poll – 2/23/12
Kentucky, Syracuse, Missouri, Duke, Kansas, Michigan State, North Carolina, Georgetown
Confused on what to do with this information? If so, just revert back to this list on Monday March 12th, find each team from the Elite 8 “Jordan Adjusted” list above on your bracket sheet. Slowly advance these 8 teams from their starting position, all the way through until you see the inner slots of your bracket designating the location for your Elite 8 selection. Lock in the Jordan Adjusted 8 teams here, then carefully and I mean carefully, take a ball point pen and begin to advance these 8 teams until you have a winner for the Championship Game on April 2nd. Thereafter, fill in your lower brackets by utilizing the MARCHVEGAS Tournament Sleepers where needed.
Lastly, don’t forget to put your name and date on your bracket sheet then turn in all paper work to the designated proctor or bracket coordinator by March 14th. If there are any questions, we can be contacted via twitter or facebook for help.
