I’m being forced against my will to make comments about the up and coming doomsday prophecy of the Mayan calendar ending. I say “forced” casually because on one hand maybe I should state a position just in case and then on the other hand, maybe I just don’t really think there is anything to worry about. I however did purchase a 24 pack of water bottles from Costco which at least gives me a couple days to start my post-survival planning strategy should tomorrow bring about any combination of calamities.
Until then however, I guess the real crux of the prophecy include the ramifications if something does or does not happen. If tomorrow all hell breaks loose through any defined disaster option (see History Channel for more info) then certain conclusions can be drawn. Likewise if nothing happens, another set of conclusions can be drawn right? So correct me if I’m wrong or tell me if you agree but I see the Mayan Prophecy event or non-event like this:
1. If the prophecy jumps off, then there must be aliens (because how else could they know?). This would also mean there is no God. The bible says that “no man know the day nor the hour”, therefore again if 12/21/12 is the end, then God wouldn’t have provided man the date and by default eliminates His existence.
2. If the prophecy does not pop off, then there are no aliens (and I will also stop watching the History Channel on such topics). Consequently this will also mean that God’s existence is still in play (whether you choose to believe in Him or not).
So think about that, if the prophecy flops, there are no aliens, and God’s existence is still in play. That firmly puts all of mankind back on track where we all today which is the freedom of choice, freedom in any and all religion(s) and the freedom to practice your faith as you see fit. Isn’t that how its supposed to be anyway? I think the answer is yes, I think that’s how it was meant to be. Therefore, if it was meant to be, then I think we’re gonna be OK. Don’t you?
So anyway, if the suns rises on 12/22/12, freedom once again is yours and the peace that you’ll never ever ever ever ever (that’s 4 ever’s) have to watch another Ancient Aliens documentary again (but maybe just The Apocalypse/Armageddon shows etc.,). I can promise you that, in your future.
