Needless to say, I got a bit teary eyed and choked up when compiling this list, it looked like this. Anyway, if playing golf still suits your fancy during MARCHVEGAS we understand, otherwise, pay attention to this list:
1. Time
The round is going to take too much doggone time. Once you include the 25 – 30 min cab ride up and back, then the round, then shower, take a nap, then eat, then get dressed you’ll take up the whole day and miss all the basketball games. You’ve got 4 days of hoops to watch and analyze, why March to Vegas and then miss all the games? Lastly, its gonna be so hard putting that foursome together in the morning, after hangovers its not even worth it.
2. Too Much Crap to Bring
Having to lug the clubs around just for one lousy round of golf is crazy. You’ll have to pack golf clothes, spend more time in the airport luggage area and then have to worry about theft or damages to your clubs. Its just not worth it. Besides, these aren’t grand mamma’s pearls, these are frickin golf clubs, keep them home where their safe.
3. Birdies
There are more birdies out there in the night clubs and bars than there are in your bullsh*t golf game, so go get ’em. Plus, your strokes won’t count against you so much during your late round and is totally encouraged. Again, this goes against what golfers are taught but more strokes are better in this instance, trust me.
4. Its Cheaper at Home
Not the birdies, I’m talking about golf. Golf is cheaper at home. Save your money for the casino’s, clubs and sportsbooks and play golf back at home. The round will play faster and you’ll get a better price point. Vegas golf gets real expensive, real quick.
